A New Adventure

Hello friends!

It’s been so fun sharing tips and ideas with you over the last few months, but today I want to share a project that is near and dear to my heart! The Color of Music is a fantasy novel I’ve written for kids aged 8-12 who have a curiosity for learning about different cultures, unfamiliar worlds and new experiences.

I began writing the first iteration of this book when I was just 12-years old and it’s amazing to see it now come to life. So much of my own story has been woven into this book, from my experience of living in New York City (just like the protagonist Esme) to moments of adventure and inspiration found in my local parks in London.

Today, more than ever, empathy is an important superpower. And through the story of Esme I wanted to encourage readers to try and see the world through another person’s experience, no matter how different from their own.
